DeSoto Hill Cemetery
Located on Wemple Road at Goss Road
out of Mansfield. This is located in the woods with a large area of graves
without markers.
Taken from the
Cemeteries of DeSoto Parish LA.
Appears to be a very OLD cemetery and is not in use any longer.

Troy DeSoto submitted the below:
I’m still hoping to find more information about who is buried there and
what grave markers were there in the past vs the 3 that are still standing. A
written family history says that two brick vaults belonged to Simon DeSoto and
Felonise Tessier, my direct ancestors. Another brick vault was said to be
unmarked and may mark the grave of Simon’s parents. Attached a photo of the
paragraph from that family book. There are no longer any markers standing on or
near the vaults…missing or buried under debris. There are 3 markers still
visible on other graves.
