On 13 Jun 2008 , Sharon Jarrell wrote regarding the new Family Search site: http://pilot.familysearch.org. Now the site is called https:www.familysearch.org

I've played for 8 hours on this site!  It's free! What a revelation!  Ran through a whole black ink cartridge!

Jack Miller, born July 22, 1861 and died July 17, 1931 Conroe, Texas buried at Oakwood Cemetery (undertaker Wahrenburger & Sons) on July 18, 1931

Mrs. Eliza Anna Casey Miller born March 12, 1867, Greenville, Butler County, AL and died May 9, 1942, Conroe, Montgomery County, Texas. J. Wahrenberger & Son (undertaker) buried at Oakwood Cemetery

(Their eldest soon, William Casey Miller is buried also at Oakwood, but is on the roster 6/1/1889 - 6/19/1959.)

I'm not sure where Otis, Earl and Jack V. Miller, their other children, are buried.  Eliza Anna Casey Miller was my maternal grandmother's aunt. Family history said they were buried there, but I had not been able to find any proof until I pulled up their death records.

Subject: Unmarked graves in Oakwood Cemetery

I know of two unmarked graves in this cemetery.  In addition to my grandmother, Mary Magdalene Henderson,  who is buried next to the fence paralleling Airport Rd is her son, Willard Henderson.  My uncle Willard died about 1938 or 1939 from an automobile accident in Conroe. Willard is not next to her, but in the same area.   As a child growing up in Conroe, I knew about where both of these graves were.  Now I can't find them.  Next to my grandfather, Elmer Brown Henderson, is his brother, Henry Smith Henderson, Jr.  known as Uncle Jack.  They are buried with Uncle Jack nearest the driveway and Elmer next to him in Section 2, Plot 65.  These two graves are the only ones buried in the family plot.  Uncle Jack was the father-in-law of TX Ranger Clint Peoples.  Some of my family would like to locate my grandmother and uncle's graves as we plan to mark them.  Any help would be appreciated.

Sincerely,

Pat Henderson Barnes

Willard Henderson, b; 1917 in TX. Died abt 1939, due to involvement with double car-crash located just south of Old Hill trop Bar, Willis, TX. Son of Elmer Brown Henderson, b; 2 Mar 1892, Hunt County, TX, d; 1954, Montgomery County, TX. Son of Mary Magdalene Glover (Gresham) Henderson, b; 5 Sept 1893 in TX, d; 2 Feb 1940 in Montgomery County, TX.

Henry Smith Henderson, Jr., b; abt 1887/1888 in MS, d; date unknown. Brother of Elmer Brown Henderson & all four buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Conroe, Montgomery county, TX.

Henry Smith Henderson, Jr., always called "Jack", buried right beside Elmer B. Henderson. Should be some kind of marker that just says "Jack". Henry Smith "Jack" Henderson, Jr. was father-in-law to Clinton Thomas  Peoples, Texas Ranger, Texas Ranger Hall of Fame, Waco, TX.

Thank you so much for the prompt reply.
Maggie Whitton.

Willard Henderson and mother Mary M. Henderson, buried next to fence, East entrance, left side.

Ethel Anderson, born August 24, 1895 and died March 1980 is buried there and I would love to find some of her descendents. She taught in the Conroe school system for many years and moved to Wortham TX about 1971 where she was living when she died.

I have her obituary, showing three children. Ilene who married a Martin and two son's listed as Camp and Derl in the article.

Also have several Anderson's and Dean's buried in County Line Cemetery.
