Mangum Funeral Home announces services for 81 year old, Belton “Beck” Jackson, of Center. Services will be this (Tuesday) morning at 11 o’clock, at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Patroon Cemetery. Among Mr. Jackson’s survivors are five sons, Kenneth Jackson, Glenn Jackson, William Jackson, Richard Jackson, all of center, and Ronnie Jackson, of Orange, one daughter, Marlina Hannah, of Brazoria, his wife, Clarice Jackson, of Timpson, and five brothers, Douglas Jackson, Jimmy Jackson, and Billy Joe Jackson, all of Center, Eugene Jackson, of Trinity, and Don Jackson, of Shelbyville.

Ray Jackson, 79, of Center, passed away Friday April 3, 2009 at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.

He requested that his body be cremated and no services are planned.

He was born March 24, 1930 in Bragg, Hardin County, Texas to Thomas Allen and Omino ( Newman) Jackson. He graduated from Center High School in 1947 and he retired from Houston Lighting Company after retirement he moved back to Shelby County and he spent countless hours researching history for the Shelby County Museum which he was very proud of.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Thomas and Omino Jackson, Brother, Melvin Jackson, Sister, Ruth Jackson McSwain and Special Friends, Carla and Bernadette.

He is survived by:
Bunch of Friends especially Beatrice

Services are under the direction of Mangum Funeral Home, Center, Texas.

Beatrice Dutton Jacobs, 75 of Center, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Nacogdoches Medical Center. She was born October 27, 1934 in Center to Clifford R. Denby and Versie Viola Denby. Ms Jacobs was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.  Visitation will be held from: 5:00pm - 8:00pm Monday, July 19, 2010 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home, Center, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the Pleasant Hill Missionary Church out of Shelbyville, with Bro. Billy Windham officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Billy Lewis Jent, age 74 of Cordova, Walker County AL died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Walker Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services will be Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 2 P.M. at Collins Burke Chapel with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Jasper, Al. Visitation will be Saturday, February 26, 2011 from 6 until 9 P.M. at Collins Burke Funeral Home.

Loyd Buel Johnson, of Spanaway, Washington, passed away Friday, September 9, 2005. Mr. Johnson was born May 16, 1921 to Ellis Johnson & Siddie Rebecca Wilson Johnson. Kathleen O’Rear Johnston, 87, of Jasper, formerly of Florence , passed away from this life on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011 , at Princeton Hospital . She was born on Jan. 16, 1924 . Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 , at Collins-Burke Funeral Home from noon to 2 p.m. Funeral services will Friday at 2 p.m. in Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 , at 10 a.m. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens in Florence .

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Sr.; son, Gordon Jr.; an infant son; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ebb O’Rear; brothers, Allen, Dalton and Rayburn; and sister, Peggy Sue Rice.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynne Johnston; sons, Jim and Steve Johnston; three granddaughters; three great-grandsons; sisters, Dean Morris and Jean (Morton) Godfrey of Jasper and Beverly (Howard) Cheney of Wyoming; brothers, Delane, Sanford (Pauline) and Wayne (Doris) of Jasper; and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Billy Frank Jones
Billy Frank Jones, 75, of the Neuville Community passed away October 21, 2005 in Nacogdoches. Mr. Jones was born May 8, 1930 in Choice, Texas to Ira Lee Jones and Isabelle Walker Jones. He retired from the United States Air Force and later worked as a truck driver for Lout Logging. Mr. Jones lived in Shelby County for most of his life. Graveside services will be held at 10 am, Monday, October 24, 2005 at Short Cemetery with Rev. Don Nobles and Rev. Edward McRae officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mr. Jones' grandsons. Survivors include: Daughters, Judy Jones of Neuville, Jorja Jacobs and husband Thurman of Nacogdoches, Joyce Dorsett of Melrose and Jeri Blair and husband Rod of Groveton. 15 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. NORTHPORT Michael Odell Jones, Jr., age 28, of Northport, died ,Dec. 19,
2010 at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Olive Presbyterian
Church with Bill McCook and Chris Beasley officiating. Burial will
follow in the church cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity
Provider, directing. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the
funeral home and one hour prior to services at the church.

Survivors include his daughters, Kamryn Reece Jones, age 5, and Courtney
Kate Jones, age 4, both of Northport; sister, Michelle Jones of Gordo;
parents, Mickey Jones and Beverly Jones of Gordo; and grandparents,
Donnie Nell Maples of Northport, and Douglas and Geneva Tunnell of
Duncanville.

He was a beloved father, son, and brother.

Pallbearers will be his cousins.

Juanita Jo Kreisel, 66, of Center died Sept. 7, 2005, in Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. Born June 23, 1939, in Towanka, Okla., she was the daughter of Charles J. and Ruby Guynn. She was homemaker and a member of Narfe.
Survivors include her husband, Charles H. Kreisel of Center; daughters, Kristine White of Kansas City, Mo., and Kimberly Billings of Oak Grove, Mo.; mother, Ruth Guynn of Kansas City, Mo.; brother, Charles Guynn of Lathrop, Mo.; and three grandchildren. No services are planned, as she will be cremated.

Nacogdoches County. Mr. Lovett was born May 23, 1986 in Lufkin, and died Tuesday, September 20, 2005 in Center Texas. Mr. Lovett resided in Lufkin and Hudson for most of his life. He loved hunting, fishing, bull riding and riding horses, and especially loved his family and the Lord. Mr. Lovett was a member of the Lighthouse of Prayer Church. Survivors include his parents, Teresa and Doug Erbey of Lufkin, brothers, Christopher Battles of Center and Casey Erbey of Lufkin, maternal grandfather, Gerald Lovett of Huntington, maternal grandmother, Dianne Lovett of Huntington, paternal grandparents, James and Mary Erbey of Lufkin, maternal great grandmother, Elizabeth Blanton of Diboll, step grandmother, Sally Denby of Lufkin, very special uncle, Charles Ray Lovett, special person in William's life Kirk Battles, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service for Mrs. Vistus Francis Fowler May, age 98, of Fayette, will be held Friday, January 29, 2011 at 2-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Bluff. Jeff Randolph and Morris May will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home. Mrs. Vistus Francis Fowler May passed away on January 26, 2011.She died near Bluff at her long time home which is only a few yards from the two room log cabin where she was born, the oldest of eleven children, on April 30, 1912. She married Arlie in 1943 and soon afterward built there home in the woods next to her parents home. She was a wonderful mother to her sons and to her many school students. She loved her home, her yard, and especially her church. Even at the age of 98, she read her bible everyday. She fought a good fight and kept the faith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arlie May, parents: L.A. and Zellie Dubose Fowler, brothers: Ormand, Huey, Hulon, and L.A. Junior Fowler, and sister: Adell Hollingsworth. She is survived by her sons: Tim (Lisa) May, Paul May and friend, Sondra Ward, grandson: Kevin (Jamie) May , brothers: Joe (Sue) Fowler, and John (Shirley) Fowler, sisters: Virtus Hubbert, Nell Fredrick, and Dess (Howard) Kirkland, sisters-in-law: Mary Fowler, and Beatrice Fowler, brothers-in-law: Morris (Maxine) May, Glen (Willie) May, and Wyman Humber, great-grandchildren: Jakob, Eli, Timmy, Patience, Austin, and Leslie, and many nieces and nephews. Eldon “Mac” McAda
Eldon “Mac” McAda, 62, of Center, passed away Monday, October 17, 2005. He was born October 30, 1942 in Potett, Texas to Robert Newton McAda and Elizabeth Elmina Cross McAda. He was saved and baptized as a young boy and was active in church all his life. He grew up in Campbellton in South Texas. He moved to Nacogdoches to attend SFA. He graduated from SFA with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and a minor in Science with a teaching degree. He met and married the love of his life, Margie Nell Graves. He worked for Purena and Rite Care for a while. He then worked for Cactus International Co. Offshore Rigs where he was a driller and toolpusher. Later, he went to work for the Sheriff’s Department in Center, where he worked for several years. His last job was as owner/operator of a BBQ and steak house restaurant. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Center and an honorary member of Dr. Hooker’s Sunday School Class. His hobbies were cooking, fishing, listening to music, reading, hunting and watching old movies and westerns. He liked to watch football, and he loved Astros baseball.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. John Bender and Rev. Carl Smith officiating. Interment will follow at McClelland Cemetery in Shelbyville. Survivors Include: Daughters: Rene’ Mize & husband Gary of Center, Kim Carter & husband Don of Carthage. Grandchildren: Dean & Marnie Mize, Ashley & Lauren Carter. Brother: Roy McAda & wife Linda of Porland, TX, Sisters: Dora Rutherford of Pleasanton, TX, Ruth Tymrak & husband Jerome of Bishop, TX. Robert Marcus “Mark” McDonald, 54, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2005. His death was the result of electrocution while working in a broiler house. He was born July 26, 1951 in Forth Worth to Harold McDonald and Alice Moss McDonald. Mr. McDonald was a poultry farmer and member of Ephesus Baptist Church.

Tim McCool and Rev. Craig Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. McGee; a granddaughter, Teresa Sides; seven brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Edmonds (Bobby) and Sarah Wright (Gerald); a son, Kenneth McGee (Romona); grandchildren, Becky Yeager (Bill), Jim Edmonds (Janet), Lisa Morgan (Dale), Rob McGee (Kristi), Kim Butler (Brian), Dana Gilliland (Allen), and Kent McGee (Jennifer); great-grandchildren, Candice Balenger (Heath). Clint Payton (Allison), Trevor Sides, Courtney Edmonds, Chloe Edmonds, Carlie Edmonds, Chelsey Edmonds, Matthew Morgan, Cole Morgan, Mallory McGee, Mayson McGee, Madison McGee, Morgan McGee, Maggie Butler, Will Butler, Mollie Butler, Macy Butler, and Cayla Gilliland; and
great-great-grandchildren, Talan Balenger and Connor Payton.

Mrs. McGee lived a life of service. She loved to cook and share this talent with her community in Home Demonstration Club, active membership in the PTA of Peterson Elementary, and most of all her large family, who were the focus of her life along with her church. She always valued education for her children and sacrificed for them. She was a very loving and caring mother, and always thought of others.

Pallbearers will be Dale Morgan, Rob McGee, Kent McGee, Brian Butler, Jim Edmonds, Bill Yeager, Allen Gilliland, and Trevor Sides.

James Edward McGuff, 67, of Nauvoo, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 , at Walker Baptist Medical Center . Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 , at Living Waters Tabernacle, with burial following at Sardis Cemetery . Dennis Farley will officiate. Visitation will be today, Nov. 4, 2010 , from 6 until 9 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael McGuff; father, James McGuff; and mother, Hazel McGuff.

He is survived by his wife, Misty McGuff; son, Lynn McGuff (Faye); sisters, Patricia Ann Bridges (Chuck), Patsey Minor (Wayne) and Barbara McGuff (Lecile); brothers, Dewey McGuff (Ceann), Jerry McGuff and Kennith McGuff; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Sidney Moulton, age 67, of Fayette, were held Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at 2 p.m.,  from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Jon Sanford and Bro. Kevin Beard officiated.

Mr. Moulton was born Oct. 20, 1943. He died Jan. 21 at Fayette Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Norvel Moulton and Erma G. Sanford Moulton.

Survivors include his sister, Lauren (Claude) Adams of Fayette; nieces, Tami A. (Leroy) Sanford, Melanie A. (Charlie) Watkins; nephews, Leon Adams, Jerry (Renee) Adams; great nieces and great nephews: Robby Sanford, Ashlie N. Watkins (Justin Doster), Brendan L. Doster, Harlie A. Watkins (Chase Fowler), Hannah C. Fowler, Samantha L. Watkins, Brandon Adams, Cade Adams, and Corey Adams.
