The Montgomery County Historical Commission and the Overland Property Group are hosting a County Historical Marker dedication for the old Montgomery County Hospital at 301 1st Street in east Conroe. The dedication ceremony will be Monday morning, September 15 at 9:00 AM. Along with state, county, county hospital district and city officials, the public is invited to attend. Many of our older citizens were born in the old hospital while others received medical attention there.

Opened by the County in 1938 as Montgomery County’s first public-funded hospital, the Hospital served the public until the 1990s. The building has now been transformed by the Overland Property Group into a modern senior living facility called Landmark 301.
