Emilia Gay Griffith Means, PhD, is author of The Guy Mannering Letters of Henry Watkins Allen, editor of four anthologies of DeSoto Plume, and editor of the journal North Louisiana History. Liz Chrysler began researching DeSoto Parish history while completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in history at Louisiana State University in Shreveport. Two of her four published books concern the parish, and she serves as editor of DeSoto Plume.
