Memorial services for Gloria Morton, 82, of Bellville, Texas were handled by Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Bellville, Texas.

Born in Laredo, Texas Gloria Morton was the daughter of Arthur M. and Virginia (Miller) Morton. Gloria was raised in Houston and attended Houston schools. She was a private investigator that researched credit reports for Equifax.

Gloria volunteered and worked with the Red Cross in 1940 during World War II and with Shape in Brenham, during 1997. Gloria Morton, died Sunday, June 1, 2003 in Bellville, Texas.

She is survived by her daughter Sylvia Richards and husband Monte of Bellville, grandchildren Melissa, Keith, Sherry and Mark, 7 great grandchildren and one great grandson Jerry Winkelman sister-in-law Margaret M. Morton, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, nephew Dr. Carl Morton, cousins Dr. Luis M. Morton, Jr. and Dr. Luis Jack Morton.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur M. and Virginia Morton, brothers Arthur Morton, Jr., Charles Morton and sister Charlotte Tunstall.
