In Loving Memory Of

Brother Will Parker

Passed Away April 16, 1973

In Austin County, April 21, 1892, a son was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. John Parker, whom they named Will. Will grew up in this Christian home and attended church and public school. He was united in Holy wedlock to Miss Annie Cleveland in 1921.

In the year of 1922 he confessed a hope in Christ and was baptized and joined the Jackson Chapel A.M.E. Church in Kenney, Texas. After moving to Bellville, Texas about 30 years ago he joined Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church. Since that time he has spent many faithful years in the Master’s Service. He has won untold men and women to Christ in his quiet, unassuming way and has ever been an example for the young manhood of his community to follow.

Because of his many virtues and consistent Christian life he lived before his family. His children were early won in the Lord. He was one of the pastor’s right-hand men. It will be hard to find someone to fill the many places he served both spiritually and financially.

Bro. Parker passed away in the Bellville Hospital, Monday afternoon, April 16, 1973. He was preceded in death by parents, one sister, four brothers and one grandson. Leaving a devoted wife, one son and daughter in-law, one sister, one great grandson, four great granddaughters, other relatives and sorrowing friends
