Mr. Phillip Reese
Mr. Phillip Reese was born May 2, 1911 in Austin County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Reese. He
was reared in the Cochran Community. He attended the Grant and Joe Cochran Elementary School.
At an early age, he was converted under Reverend A. Lilly and joined Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Later, he joined Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church.
In 1932, he was united in wedlock to Miss Rozetta Barnes.
Mr. Reese leaves to mourn his passing, one son, Mr. Herman Reese; one daughter, Miss Janice Reese
of Houston, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Bernice Brooks of Bellville, Texas; one step-son, Mr. W. D. Smith; reared, Mr. Jerry Hall and Mrs. Lorean Southern House, and Mrs.
Darlene Hall; twenty-two nieces, twenty-two nephews, a special cousin, Mrs. Josephine Dotson and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Saturday, December 10, 1983, 1:30 p.m., Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, Bellville,
Texas, the Reverend T. J. Sommer, pastor.
Pallbearers: Masonic Family
Interment: Jefferson Cemetery, Bellville, Texas
