Mr. Ennis Stokes
Mr. Ennis Stokes was born on March 9, 1912 to Miss Annie Cleveland and Sam Stokes.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful and active member.
He met and married Birdie Lee Rogers on April 8, 1934. To this union one son, Leroy Stokes, was
born. They shared their love with Ed Cloud.
He departed this life on Sunday, January 18, 1987 in St. Luke Hospital in Houston, Texas at 11:45
p.m.
He leaves to mourn four granddaughters; six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and
friends.
Funeral Service: Friday, January 23, 1987, 1:00 p.m., Jackson Chapel A.M.E. Church, Kenney, Texas,
Reverend Alexander, officiating.
Active Pallbearers: Carl Harris, Johnnie Harris, Don Phillips, Douglas Burdnitt, Joe Jackson, and
Craig Harris.
Interment: Kenney Cemetery, Kenney, Texas
