Birth:  Feb. 28, 1889 Red River County Texas, USA Death:  Jan. 14, 1946 Robertson County Texas, USA Bessie Shook was the daughter of William Henry Shook and Margaret Ann Shields Shook. She married James Thad Collins on July 18, 1912, in Ennis, Ellis Co., Texas. Together they had 6 children, 3 infants who died in infancy, and Emmitt Martin, Lena Mae, and Clarence Nathan Collins. Bessie and her family relocated to Florida and lived there for many years. She was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and her husband brought her back to Texas to live with her sister until her death.
