ITS NICE TO BE TO SEE BUT THE STORY IS SO MUCH MORE THAN THE FEW WORDS WRITEN HERE. AND I WILL TELL IT TOO YOU ALL. MORE ABOUT MRS. HOLLIE TATNELL.
MS HOLLIE HAYES BORN 1857 IN ARKANSAS AS A SLAVE. HER PARENTS: UNFORTUNATELY ALL THAT IS KNOW OF HER PARENTS IS THAT THEY WERE BORN IN GEORGIA. MS HOLLIE HAYES MET AND MARRIED MR. GEORGE W. HUNTER ON MARCH 8, 1874. IN ANDERSON COUNTY, TEXAS. THEY WOULD HAVE A DAUGHTER NAMING HER GEORGIA E. HUNTER SHE WAS BORN IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 1875. THEY LOST A CHILD IN1877. AND WOULD WELCOME INTO THE WORLD A SON ANDREW L. HUNTER BORN SEPTEMBER OF 1879. ALTHOUGH THERE IS NO RECORD OF HER DEATH THE DATE ON HER STONE IS 1911. THERE IS ALSO NO RECORD OF HER REMARRING AND SHE HAD NO OTHER CHILDREN.
UNFORTUNATELY MRS HOLLIE LOST HER HUSBAND MR. GEORGE W. HUNTER THAT SAME YEAR OF 1879 LEAVING HER TO RAISE THERE TWO CHILDREN ALONE. HE WOULD HAVE BEEN BURIED IN THE SAME CEMETERY SHE STILL HOLDS WITH HER GRAVE.
MRS. HOLLIE WORKED AS A WASHERWOMAN TO TAKE CARE OF AND EDUCATE HER TWO CHILDREN HER DAUGHTER BECOMING A SENTORS AID IN WASHINGTON DC AND HER SON BECOMING A DOCTOR IN MARLIN, TEXAS.
MS GEORGIA HUNTER WOULD MARRY MR. CHARLES C. CARTER ON OCTOBER 2, 1901 IN ROBERTSON COUNTY. SHE WOULD SHORTLY MOVE TO WASHINGTON, DC. WHERE SHE WOULD LIVE OUT THE REST OF HER LIFE. SHE DIED JULY 13. 1963 AND WOULD BE BURIED IN THE LINCOLN MEMORIAL CEMETERY IN WASHINGTON, DC. LEAVING HER HUSBAND AND 5 CHILDREN.
{NOTE TO READERS IN THE 1880 CENSUS FOR ROBERTSON COUNTY TEXAS MS GEORGIA WAS 4 YEARS OLD WHICH PUTS HER BIRTH YEAR AS 1875. ON HER DEATH RECORDS IT LIST NO BIRTHDAY.}
DR. ANDREW LEROY HUNTER AFTER RECIEVING HIS DEGREE WOULD MARRY MS LUCY MAE PARRISH ON AUGUST 16,1908 IN MARLIN, FALLS COUNTY, TEXAS. WHERE HE WOULD BUILD HIS MEDICIAL PRACTISE. MR. AND MRS HUNTER HAD THREE CHILDERN. DR. ANDREW LEROY HUNTER LEFT THIS LIFE BEHIND ON SEPTEMBER 25, 1968 HE IS BURIED EVERGREEN CEMETERY, MARLIN, FALLS COUNTY, TEXAS
(NOTE TO READERS THE 1880 CENSUS HAD DR. ANDREWS DATE OF BIRTH AS SEPTEMBER 1879 BUT ON HIS DEATH RECORDS HIS DATE OF BIRTH AS OCTOBER 29, 1880)
