Scott Cemetery

A Scott family cemetery is located a mile or so south of Hearne heading towards Bryan. It is on private land currently occupied by the Crane Toilet Manufacturing Company (site of the old VitroTech). This small cemetery is just off of Hwy. 6, across the railroad tracks. The best entrance to use is the "Shipping & Receiving" entrance at the southern end of Crane's property. If you follow the road around to the place where all of the rejected toilets are dumped, the cemetery is to the left on a rise in a small cluster of cedar trees.

MCVEY, DR. BRUCE P., 12.21.1867 - 12.22.1893

REED, MRS. MARY ALICE, 12.22.1857 - 11.2.1892

SCOTT, RICHARD BAXTER, 8.23.1851 - 8.12.1883

The above list is partially based upon information contained in Tombstone Inscriptions Of Robertson County, Texas

by Inez Boswell Biggerstaff, 19 leaves, 28 cm, published between 1945 & 1968.
