These people were originally buried near the Mathew Cartwright home on Main Street in San Augustine, Texas.  In the fall of 1896 they were re-interred in the Terrell City Cemetery, Terrell, Texas.  Their toombstones were not carried to Terrell, but were placed in the empty graves.
