Funeral services were held Sunday, December 30, 1984 for Roseannie Hogan, who passed away December 28, 1984 at Holiday Nursing Home in Center.

Mrs. Hogan was born January 13, 1905 in Shelby County, the daughter of of Larkin Bates and Tempie McKenzie Bates.

Survivors include her daughters Mrs. Gracie Forsythe of Center and Mrs. Billie Jean Hughes of Joaquin.  Also her sons, Floyd Hogan and James Hogan bother of Conroe, Texas.  Seven grandchildren, 5 grand-grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.  Also surviving are her sisters Mrs. Beatrice Norris of Center, Mrs. Eva Foster of Gladewater, Mrs. Alice Riley of Kilgore and Mrs. Myrtie Walker of Phoenix, Arizona.

Interment was in the Jackson Cemetery with Rev. Robert Warr and Rev. F. A. McCann officiating.  Pallbearers were her nephews Hubert Lilly, Wilburn Lilly, Lonnie Buchanan, Gene Thomas, Ronald Howell and Allen Hogan.

Notes from Jane Keppler.  This is my Daddy's Mother, my "Mammaw".  Wife of Jimmie Floyd Hogan, buried beside her.   Also buried in Jackson Cemetery is Annie's parents, Larkin and Tempie Bates along with grandfather William W. Bates.

Gracie Hogan Foresyth, 88, of Center, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 in Center.Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Bro. Pat Windham and Bro. Doug Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.

 Ms. Foresyth was born May 26, 1926 in Garrison to James Floyd Hogan and Rose Annie Bates Hogan. She was an excellent seamstress and loved being a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church in Center.She is survived by:

Floyd Harold Hogan Sr.

Floyd H. Hogan Sr., 79, went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2006. He was born on May 11, 1927 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. He lived in Conroe since 1959. Floyd was also a WWII veteran. He married Yvonne Wood on July 18, 1947. Floyd is survived by his wife, Yvonne Hogan; sons, Floyd H. Hogan Jr. and wife Marilyn, and Claude L. Hogan and wife Linda; four grandsons and wives; one granddaughter and husband; and five great grandsons and six great granddaughters. He is also survived by one brother, James A. Hogan and wife Ruth; two sisters, Gracie Foresyth and Billie Jean Neilson and husband Conrad; and sister-in-law, Sue Sage. Pallbearers will be James Burson, Kevin Grimes, Dude Courtney, Ronnie Howell, Tate Robinson, and Terry Brooks.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 20, 2006 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2006 in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor Kenny Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery.

James Hogan Sr.

James A. Hogan Sr. of Conroe, TX. went to his heavenly home on Saturday July 10, 2010 at the age of 82. He was born April 11, 1928 in Nacogdoches Co.,TX. to James Floyd Hogan and Rose Annie Bates Hogan who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Ruth Hogan. He also is survived by two daughters Jane Keppler and her husband Father Mike of Houston and Sandra Kay Buchanan and her husband Lonnie of Highlands. He is also survived by his son James A. "Buddy" Hogan of Conroe. Two sisters survive, Grace Forsyth and Billie Jean Nielsen of Center. He has two granddaughters Robin Shy of Potosi, MO. and Amy Loggins of Willis, and four great grandchildren: Cierra Laster of Magnolia, Kayla Wise and Brandon Loggins of Willis and Nevets Jennewein of Potosi, MO. He was also preceded in death by his brother Floyd Hogan. James worked for the Texas Highway Department and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict in the US Army. He was a loving husband, father and brother and grandfather and he loved to fish. Visitation will be Sunday July 11, 2010 from 6-8 pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Monday July 12, 2010 at 10 am at Cashner Funeral Home with Father Mike Keppler. Burial will follow at Garden Park Cemetery.

Billie Jean Hogan

Billie Jean Hogan Nielsen, 76, of Center, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 at Pine Grove Nursing Home in Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery  in Joaquin. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Ms. Nielsen was born March 25, 1938 in Joaquin to Jimmy and Annie Hogan. She loved reading her Bible, listening to country music and taking care of her pet dogs. She was a member of Jackson Baptist Church in Joaquin.

She is survived by Sister: Gracie Forsythe of Center
