 Elizabeth Shaw Cartwright Cemetery
Montgomery County Texas
aka Rabon Chapel Cemetery
aka Cartwright Cemetery
aka Sunday Cemetery

It's official. The cemetery name has been given an Historical designation as the Elizabath Shaw Cartwright Cemetery. This cemetery is located on Rabon Chapel Road. There are two routes one may take to get to the cemetery. First, from Conroe take Hwy 105 West about 10 miles. Second, from Conroe, take FM2854. Rabon Chapel runs between 105 & FM2854. There are road signs at each end of the road. Key Map Page 154K.

I found your cemetery listing on the Montgomery County website and great job!

I have some information if you want to add to your listing.

Cheatham,  Mollie - handmade stone, no dates.  Mollie was the daughter of James Madison Harris and Martha Catherine Sunday. She married William Robert Cheatham in 1891. She was his 1st wife. He later married Minnie Bell Curry.

Martha Catherine Sunday was the daughter of George W. Sunday and Martha Johnson.

Mollie Cheatham was my g-g-grandmother.

I believe all those unmarked Harris stones were the children of James M. Harris & Mattie Sunday. No proof though.
Very frustrating that there are no names and dates which I’m sure you can relate to.

I just thought this info might be helpful to someone else researching this cemetery.

Thanks again.
