only care for the Old Danville section (the original Danville Cemetery).
Part of the black section in the back actually WAS part of the original
cemetery. However, it is now separate and cared for independently as is
the Catholic section next to us. By the way, I've done extensive research

for people to know that there are different sections which are cared for
separately. The Catholic Church in Waverly, St. Joseph's, has taken over
care of the Catholic section. I do not know the contact person for the
black section, but it runs the whole length behind the Danville Section
and the Catholic Section and is now filling in on the west side of the
Catholics.

I know of several unmarked graves in the Danville Cemetery. First though,
a marked grave: my great grandfather,
James Henry Hall, died 15 March 1905 and
is buried in Danville Cemetery with a huge marker. He was buried between his two
wives, who preceded him in death, and whose graves are not marked. Both wives
died in childbirth and the children are buried there, too. However, the child of
the first wife died three months after she did so it would have a separate
grave. The wives were (1)
Sarah Ann George (d. 1863) and daughter,
Barberey
Elizabeth Hall, and (2)
Mary Jane Wester (1850-1890) and daughter,
Sadie Hall.
Also buried nearby in unmarked graves are
James and Mary Jane's
daughter, Sarah Jane "Sally" Hall Selman
(1880-1937) and Sally's daughter,
Darlene Selman Valdez
(d 1935).
