Vera Loree Meek Wimberly was such an asset to our Montgomery County genealogical community. She was The Herald editor of the
MCG&HS quarterly publication from 1978 to 1998 years...and before she became editor she was actively typing copy for The Herald. She was also responsible for creating many of the Indexes of the MCG&HS' publication that we as researchers are thankful
for. She was honored in 2000 at the annual MCG&HS' Founder's Celebration as
