Funeral services for Betty Ford, 73, of Sealy, were held Wednesday, May
28,
2003 at 11 a.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy with Rev. Dale
Leland
officiating. Interment was at Sealy Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Burttschell, Bobby Buesinger, Drake Davis, Gene
Doeling, Kevin Krampitz, Jesse Aranda, Eric Scott and Ryan Whitzel.
Born in Lamar, Colorado, Betty Ruth Scott was the daughter of Merrill and
Ruth Elizabeth (Brown) Scott. She was raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming and
graduated from Cheyenne High School. On September 25, 1954, the former
Miss
Betty Scott and Mr. James C. Ford were married with ceremony held at
Warren
Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Betty was a lifelong homemaker.
Mrs. Betty Ruth Ford passed away Saturday, May 24, 2003 after a recurring
battle with cancer.
Survived by her husband Jim Ford of Sealy, daughter and son-in-law Jamie
and
Brian Zapalac of Sealy, son and daughter in law Charlie and Melissa Ford
also of Sealy, sister Barbara Scott of Boulder, Colorado, brother and
sister-in-law Merrill Jr. and Ardie Scott of Brookshire, Texas. Also
surviving are her adored grandchildren Stacey Okonski and husband Daryl,
Leslie Anderson and husband Brent, Keith Zapalac, Charles and Christopher
Ford and one great grandchild Brandt Lee Okonski.
She was preceded in death by her parents Merrill and Ruth Scott.
