Funeral services for Evelyn M. Fricke, 88, of Cat Spring were held
at 2 p.m.Friday, Nov. 28, 2003 at St. John Lutheran Church in Cat Spring with
Rev.
Robert Sorensen officiating. Interment was in the CAT SPRING CEMETERY aka Kollatschny
Cemetery in
Cat Spring.
Pallbearers for the service were Randy Reichardt, Daryl Hartmann,
Stephen
Reichardt, Brian Reichardt, Larry Volkening and Ryan Reichardt.
The former Miss Evelyn Mercedes Strauss was born in Cat Spring to
parents
Herman and Olga CAT SPRING CEMETERY aka Kollatschny Strauss. She was raised in Cat Spring
and
attended Cat Spring Public School. On July 22, 1933, she married
Hilmer
Fricke in Houston and was the owner of Evelyn's Beauty Shop in Cat
Spring
for 50 years. Mrs. Fricke was a member of St. John Lutheran Church
in Cat
Spring.
Evelyn M. Fricke died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003 in Sealy.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Fay and Otto Reichardt
of Cat
Spring, sister Bernice Volkening of Cat Spring, grandchildren and
spouses
Randy Reichardt of Cat Spring, Stephen and Connie Reichardt of
Sealy, Brian
and Emma Reichardt of Sealy, Nancy and Daryl Hartmann of Rosenberg,
great
grandchildren Rebecca Forrester, Russell, Ryan, Brett, Tyler and
Marcus
Reichardt, Salina and Tami Hartmann, great great grandchildren, Rhys
Reichardt and Jenna Forrester, sisters-in-law, Dorcie Strauss of
Lake
Jackson, Ruby Rogers and Hazel Jones both of Brenham.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Olga Strauss,
husband
Hilmer Fricke, brother Wilbert Dale Strauss, brothers-in-law Vertis
Volkening and Vernon Fricke.
Memorial contributions can be made to the St. John Lutheran Church
Building
Fund, 480 Ross Road, Cat Spring, Texas 78933.
Funeral services were held under the direction of the Knesek Family
Funeral
Chapel of Sealy.
