Funeral service for Wilma Ruth James, 85, of Sealy, Texas were held Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at 2 p.m. from Groom Church of Christ in Groom Texas with Mr. Don Stone officiating. Interment was at Groom Cemetery in Groom.

Wilma married Eldred N. James in Groom on January 14, 1934. She was an Avon lady for 35 years and was a member of the Groom Church of Christ.

Wilma Ruth James died June 6, 2003 in Katy.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Housley and husband Bill of Bellville, son Edgar Lee James and wife Marianne of San Antonio, daughter-in-law Lynne James of Happy, nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Eldred N. James and son Eldred Wayne James.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either the Groom Church of Christ 101 Newsome Ave. Groom, Texas 79039 or to the City of Groom, Groom Ambulance Fund P.O. Box 217, Groom, Texas 79039.

Funeral services under the direction of Schooler Funeral Home, Amarillo, Texas.
