Funeral Services for Paul Louis Jozwiak, Sr., 93, of Sealy were held
Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at 3 p.m. from Christian City Fellowship Church
(formerly Sealy Assembly Word and Worship Center) with Rev. Rusty Griffin
officiating.
A visitation was held at Condra Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas
on Thursday, April 24, 2003, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. followed by interment
at
Taylor City Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were Albert, Frank, Joey,
Leroy,
Charles and Jimmy Jozwiak, Gary and Rick Blazek, and Artie Raymond.
Born in Chappell Hill, Paul Louis Jozwiak was the son of Walter A.
Jozwiak and Mary Kopycinski Jozwiak. He was raised in Chappell Hill and
Taylor, Texas, one of 9 children.
Paul and the former Miss Julia Leshikar
were married October 12, 1936 with ceremony held in Taylor, Texas. He
worked
for Texas Power and Light in Taylor, Texas and then joined the Lower
Colorado River Authority in 1945, where he spent his life as a substation
operator working out of Peters, Texas. He and his wife Julia continued to
live at the substation in Peters after his retirement in 1975. Paul was a
member of the Christian City Fellowship Church in Sealy, and he loved to
hunt and fish, and raised a large vegetable garden.
Paul Louis Jozwiak, Sr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went
to
meet his Lord on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2003 in Katy, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Julia Jozwiak of Sealy, and
his
children Judith and husband Carl Kulhanek of Waller, Texas, Don Jozwiak
and
wife Marion, Allen Jozwiak and wife Linda, Paul Jozwiak Jr. and wife
Alice,
all of Rosenberg, Texas; brothers Alex Jozwiak and wife Esther of
Richmond,
Texas, Albin Jozwiak and wife Eunice of Austin, Texas; as well as
grandchildren, Carl Kulhanek Jr. and wife Linda of Sugar Land, Robin
Kulhanek Day and husband Stephen of Houston, Stacy Albrecht and husband
Marty of McKinney, Texas, Travis Jozwiak of Rosenberg, Steven Jozwiak and
wife Melissa of Richmond, and Stephanie Jozwiak and husband of Houston;
four
great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Preceded in death by his parents Walter and Mary Jozwiak; brothers
John,
Frank, Pete and Steve Jozwiak; and sisters Margaret Blazek and Cecelia
Raymond.
