Funeral services for Arne C. Morgensen, Sr., 82, of Sealy were held Monday,
October 20, 2003 at 4 p.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Sealy with
Rev. Octavio Muguerza officiating.
The family rosary was recited Sunday,
October 19, 2003 at 6 p.m. from the funeral chapel. Interment was in the
Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Sealy.
Pallbearers were Chris Morgensen, Sean Morgensen, Robert Morgensen, Arne
Morgensen Jr. and Bob Valden.
Arne Christian Morgensen was born in Herning, Denmark. He was raised in
Yonkers, New York by parents Jense and Marion Anderson Morgensen. Mr.
Morgensen served his country during World War II in the United States Army.
On May 17, 1950, he married the former Miss Dorothy Elliott and worked as a
caretaker for St. Lawrence Otoole Catholic Church in New York.
Mr. Arne C. Morgensen, Sr. died Saturday, October 18, 2003 at is home in
Sealy.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law Helen and Raymond See of
Pattison, New York, and Marjorie and Todd Costell of College Station,
Pennsylvania, son and daughter-in-law Arne Jr. and Fawn Morgensen of Sealy,
brother and sister-in-law, Hans and Harriett Morgensen of Pennsylvania,
grandchildren, Arne III, Chris, Robert and Sean Morgensen, Raymond, Sherrie,
Michael and Dorothy See, Emily and Morgan Anna Costell, great grandchildren
Joseph, Theresa and Danile Morgensen.
He was preceded in death by parents Jense and Marion Morgensen and wife
Dorothy Morgensen.
Funeral services were held under the direction of the Knesek Family Funeral
Chapel of Sealy.
