Funeral services for Paul Self, of Bellville were held at 10 a.m.
Saturday,
May 31, 2003 in Rosebud, Texas with Rev. Randy Osborn officiated. Burial
followed in Clover Hill Cemetery in Lott.
Mr. Self was born July 17, 1939 in the Cedar Spring Community of Falls
County to James R. and Ava Lou Griffen Self. He spent the first part of
his
life in Falls County and had lived the past 33 years in the Houston area.
He
married Charlotte Nettles on July 4, 1957. He was a Baptist and worked as
a
distributor for the Houston Chronicle.
Paul Self died Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at Bellville General Hospital at the
age of 63.
Survivors include his wife Charlotte Self of Bellville, sons Paul Wayne
Self
of Spring, Donald Self of Kingwood, Gary Self of Bellville and James Self
of
Houston, daughter Pamela Golden of Kingwood, his mother Ava Lou Self of
Rosebud, brothers James Oliver Self of Ft. Worth, John Self of Lott, David
Self of Columbia, Missouri and Cecil Self of China Spring, sisters Ardath
Friudenberg of Marilyn, Ann Thrasher of Lott, Mary Lou Renfro of Lott and
Elaine Hudson of Cameron and 8 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Lott or to the Clover
Hill Cemetery Association.
Services were conducted by Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in
Rosebud, Texas.
