Funeral services for John R. Esquivel, 66, of
Brenham and formerly of
Bellville, were held Saturday, April 10, 2004 at 10 a.m. from Knesek
Bros.Funeral Chapel in Bellville with the Rev. Tim Bucek
officiating. Interment was at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Bellville.
Pallbearers for the service were Gary Wiggins, Richard Flores,
Robert Talamantez, David Talamantez, Ray Wendt, and J.R. Vasquez.
Born in Lockhart, John was the son of Gesper and Carmen Ramirez
Esquivel. He was raised in San Marcus and attended San Marcus
schools. John served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963, during the
Vietnam Era. On April 18, 1975 John Esquivel was joined in marriage
to the former Miss Adriel Talamantez with a ceremony held in
Plainview. John worked in Maintenance for New Braunsfels Meat
Processing in Sealy, which later became IBP Meat Processing. John
was a man that could work on anything and usually would fix it.
John R. Esquivel died Wednesday, April 7, 2004 in Brenham.
He is survived by his wife Adriel Esquivel of Brenham; daughter
Jennifer Januszewski and husband Mark of Brenham; sons John M.
Esquivel and wife Lisa of Plainview, and Chris Esquivel of Brenham;
sisters Mary Barnhart and husband Bob of San Marcus, Sister Adelina
Esquivel of San Antonio, Anita Mihulka and husband Steve of North
Dakota; brother Pete Esquivel and wife Dottie of San Marcus;
grandchildren, April and Christian Esquivel and Dale
Januszewski and step grandchildren, Kyle and Ryan Januszewski.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gesper and Carmen Esquivel
and his daughter, Crystal Gayle Esquivel.
