Funeral services for Charles Dale Herridge, 73, of Bellville were held
Thursday, April 15 at 4 p.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Bellville
with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Grave side services were held on
Friday, April 16 at 4 p.m. at Board Branch Cemetery in Lone Grove, near
Llano. Serving as pallbearers were Eric Hudson, Jonathan Herridge, Aaron
Herridge, Les Jones, Tim Graves, Edwin Malinowski, Gary Neal Meguire, Carl
Joe Herridge, Steven Herridge, and Terry Alexander.
Born in Morton, Charles Dale was the son of William and Locia Gray Herridge.
He was raised in Baby Head in Llano County and attended school in Lone
Grove. 
On August 16, 1949, Charles was joined in marriage to the former Miss Betty
Gerstenberger with a ceremony held in San Antonio. He worked as a
professional truck driver and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in
Sealy. 
Charles had a love for music, especially old time country and western from
the 20s, 30s and 40s as well as bluegrass. He worked as a disc jockey in
east Texas, playing Gospel and Bluegrass on Sunday mornings. Music was a
very big part of his life.
Charles Dale Herridge died April 12, 2004 in Bellville. Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Herridge of Bellville; daughter, Sue
Hudson of Austin; son, Robert Herridge and wife Marie of Katy; sisters,
Elsie Meguire of Llano, Elva Alexander and husband Pete of Tow; brother,
Douglas Carl Herridge and wife Joyce of Meridian; grandchildren, Eric
Hudson, Jonathan Herridge, Aaron Herridge, Nicole Lockwood, Melissa Lockwood
and Michelle Kistler and husband Kurt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Locia Herridge and
brothers, Barrett, Glen and Arnold Herridge.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 402 Atchison,
Sealy, Texas 77474.
Funeral services under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapels,
Bellville.
