Graveside services for Elsie A. Baxter, 76, of Gay Hill, Texas were
conducted Friday, April 21, 2006 at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery near Bellville
with the Rev. Wayne Martin officiating.
Born in Swifton, Arkansas, Elsie Almeda Golden was the daughter of Archie
Golden and Dafiny Goza Golden. She was of Christian faith and a life-long
homemaker and mother.
Elsie A. Baxter died Tuesday, April 18, 2006 in Bellville, Texas.
She is survived by her daughters -- Rose Starkey of Dallas; Marsha Sakup of
Michigan; Shirley Baxter of Bellville; sisters -- Ora Lee Berry of Cold
Springs; Joy Watson of Brookshire; and Carolyn Brown of Nashville,
Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents -- Archie and Dafiny Golden; son --
Jimmy Baxter; sisters -- Fanny Rily, Brett Harrell, Mozell Wilson; and three
brothers -- Bill, Charlie and O.L. Golden.
