Funeral services for Lawrence Buchala, 71, of Houston, Texas were held
Priday, November 3, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Jerome¹s Catholic Church in
Houston, Texas with Rev. Msgr. Dan Scheel celebrating the Funeral Mass and
Rite of Committal. Thursday, November 2, 2006, a  KJT rosary was recited at
12:30 p.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Sealy followed by a Parish
Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. from Saint Jerome Catholic Church in Houston,
Texas. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary¹s Cemetery in
Frydek, Texas. Pallbearers serving were Michael Buchala, Dwayne Buchala,
Willy Seiler, James Davis, David Novosad and Doran Seiler.
Born in Frydek, Texas, Lawrence was the son of Joe P. Buchala and Tennie
(Zapalac) Buchala. He was raised in Frydek and attended Sealy High School in
Sealy. He worked as a machinist for the Oil Field Equipment Business.
Lawrence Joseph Buchala married the former Miss Margie Novosad on June 15,
1958 with ceremony held in Frydek, TX. He was a member of St. Jerome¹s
Catholic Church in Houston, a member of KJT Frydek and Catholic Workman
Frydek. Lawrence Buchala, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed
away peacefully at home on October 29, 2006 in Houston, Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Margie Buchala of Houston,
his children and their spouses, Annette Seiler and husband Willy of Houston,
Shirley Davis and husband James of Houston, Michael Buchala and Vilma of
Houston, Dwayne Buchala and Michelle of Houston and his eight grandchildren
Audrey, Doran, Nichole, Kelsen, Psrandon, Haleigh, Austin, and Noah and his
mother-in-law Frances Zalesak.
Preceded in death by his parents Joe and Jennie Buchala.
Lawrence¹s wife and children would like to say ³thank you² to his doctors
and Houston Hospice for his care. To Saint Jerome clergy/staff, family and
friends for prayers and all acts of kindness shown throughout his illness.
