Bellville Times

Wanda Ross Fox was born March 2, 1911, in Nolan County, Texas, the daughter
of H.B. Shafer and Lola Caskey Shafer.
She died Friday, February 10, 2006 in a Bryan Nursing facility. She was 94.
Fox was united in marriage with Buel Fox on December 11, 1929 in Roscoe,
Texas. In 1935, they moved to Big Spring where Wanda was employd as a
Secretary for the Big Spring Independent School District or  a number of
years before her retirement.
She was a longtime member of the 14th and Main Church of Christ in Big
Spring, Texas.
Survivors are her son -- Bob Fox of Bellville; granddaughters -- Vicki
Lockett and Amy Burt, also of Bellville; six great grandchildren; 7
great-great grandchildren; and many other friends and relatives.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Buel Fox, in 1983,
daughter-in-law, Betty Sue Fox, in 2005, and three sisters.
A Memorial Service was held Saturday, Februray 11, 2006 at 4 p.m. at the
Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Bellville, with The Rev. Wayne Middleton
officiating.
Graveside service was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at Trinity
Memorial Park in Big Spring.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home,
Bellville.
