Bellville Times

Services were conducted February 8, 2006 at Historic Allen AME Church in
Bellville for Jessie James Haywood with the Rev. H.J. Harvey and Pastor
Warren Scott officiating.
Mr. Haywood died February 3.
Interment was in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery, Bellville.
Mr. Haywood was born on May 12, 1940 in Bellville to James L. Haywood and
Susie Mae McHenry. 
He entered into matrimony to Betty Queen Smith and the couple has been
married 43 years.
Haywood was preceded in death by two sons: Zacharia and Jessie; one
daughter, Jacqualine; one brother, Jimmy; and his father, James L. Haywood.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife Betty Queen Haywood; son, James L.
Haywood; daughters, Earnestine Crawford (Carl), Joyce Henderson (Ernest),
Debra gaines (Tony) and Sharon Carter (Gerald); his mother, Susie Maw
McHenry; grandchildren: Carle Jr., ernest, Ashley, Katara, Asia, Kyndal,
Corie and Kearstin; sisters and brothers: Ruby, Lucy, Diane, Betty, Frank,
Curtis and Raymond.
Active pallbearers included Lenard Thompson, Carl Penrice, Leon Abbs, jr.,
Paul Johnson, Walter Johnson Jr., Robert Haynes, John Reese, Claude Hayes,
Barry Johnson, Cedric Penrice. Honorary pallbearers were James Haywood,
Ernest Henderson, Gerald Carter, Carl Crawford, Tony Gaines, Ernest
Henderson Jr., Carl Crawford Jr.
