PAULIE F. HUEBNER

Funeral services for Paulie F. Huebner, 90, of Bellville were held Thursday
Sept. 21, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. from St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville with
the Rev. Jennie Jones officiating. Interment was at New Ulm Cemetery in New
Ulm. Pallbearers serving were Travis Huebner, Andy Huebner, Mike Pounds,
Vernon Mensch, Robert Huebner and Steve Huebner. Honorary Pallbearers were
Austin County Sheriff Department.
Born in Welcome, Paulie was the son of Hugo L. and Alma (Wawarofsky)
Huebner. He was raised in Welcome and attended Welcome School.
He was baptized and confirmed at Welcome Lutheran Church by the Rev.
Monsieur.
From 1937 to 1939 he served in the Civilian Conservation Corp in Arizona and
California.
On Sept. 26.1943 Paulie was joined in marriage to Miss Dolores Richter with
a ceremony held at Welcome Lutheran Church.
He worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 13 years and retired from Mid-Con
Pipeline Equipment.
Paulie and Dolores moved to Houston in 1958 and returned to Bellville in
1972. He was a member of the Industry Fire Department, Sportsman
Association, Cattlemans Association and St. John Lutheran Church. He enjoyed
gardening, working cattle, dancing and dominoes.
For 10 years Paulie and Dolores worked with Lee and Grace Ladig for the
Bellville Beautification Foundation planting flowers around the city.
Paulie passed away Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006 at his home in Bellville.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dolores Huebner of Bellville;
daughter Marsha Tuddie Jones and husband Michael of San Antonio: son Kenneth
Huebner and wife Barbara of Bellville; sister Alita Holtz of Shreveport,
La.; sisters-in-law Esther Huebner of Industry, Allene Pounds of Waller;
grandchildren Andy Huebner, Kandis Jones, Keean Jones, Travis Huebner and
Josh Huebner; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents Hugo and Alma Huebner; son Edward Huebner;
brother Otto Huebner; brothers-in-law Owen Holtz, Don Pounds and Kermit
Hubbard; sister-in-law Roma Hubbard.
