Bellville Times

Evelyn (Wienke) Janecek was born Feb. 2, 1919, in the Star Hill Community of
Austin County, Texas, the daughter of Louis and Olga (Zanek) Wienke.
She married E.J. Janecek, Jr. on June 21, 1939, in Bellville.
A longtime resident of Bellville, she was an active member of St. John
Lutheran Church and the womenıs afternoon circle of WELCA. She was a past
member of the Austin County Extension Homemakers, a past director of the
Austin County Fair Association and a founding member of the Bluebonnet
Garden Club. She has been a resident of LaGrange since 1994.
Mrs. Janecek passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at St. Mark Medical Center
in LaGrange at the age of 87 years and 17 days.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Survivors include: daughter, Jeanenne Klesel and husband Michael of
LaGrange; son, W.J. Janecek and wife Mary Lou of Lake Jackson; (4)
granddaughters, Sara Klesel and Micah Klesel, both of Austin; Megan Janecek
and Meredith Janecek, both of Lake Jackson; sister, Osie Huebner Lock of
Bellville; sister-in-law, Dolores Coufal of Bellville; (2) nieces, (2)
nephews, (3) great-nieces and (1) great-great niece.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville.
Graveside services 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006 at Oak Knoll Cemetery in
Bellville with a Celebration of Life Service following at 3 p.m. from St.
John Lutheran Church with Pastors Jennie Jones and David Henske officiating.
