Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Fisher King of Winston-Salem died Friday Sept 1, 2006 at
Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born in Houston to
the late Leon Fisher and Alma Stafford Fisher and was married to the late
Thomas M. King. She was a member of the College Park Baptist Church, the
Joyful Sunday school class and the College Parkers. She formerly worked at
Baptist Hospital and volunteered for Crisis Control. She was also an avid
Texas A&M football fan. She is survived by daughters Mrs. W.L. (June) West
of Millersville, MD; Mrs. John (Joan) Fleming of Nashville, Tenn.; and Mrs.
Robert (Heather) Mason of Herndon, Va.; a son, Mr. Gordon M. King and wife
Cindy of Roanoke, Va.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The
funeral was Wednesday, Sept. 6 at college Park Baptist Church with the Rev.
Ramon smith officiating. Memorials may be made to The Youth Ministry at
College Park Baptist Church or Crisis Control. Funeral arrangements are by
