Bellville Times Koehn Funeral services for Walter L. Koehn, 68, of Bellville, Texas were held Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. from Nelsonville Brethren Church in Nelsonville, Texas with Rev. Mike Groseclose and Rev. Robert Stutes co-officiating. Interment was at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery near Bellville. Pallbearers serving were David Jackson, Dusty Yantis, Chris LaVergne, Carlos Loeffler, Elroy Kiecke, Newton Boriack and Ben Marshall. Born in Navasota, Texas, Walter Leedy Koehn was the son of Walter H. and Jessie ³Lucille² (Leedy) Koehn. He was raised in Bellville and graduated from Bellville High School. Walter graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1959. On June 14, 1959, Mr. Walter Koehn married the former Miss Joyce Hohlt at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville. Walter worked for Leroy Hurta at Hurta¹s Drug Store from the late 60¹s until 1977 when he opened Walter¹s Pharmacy in Bellville. He was a member of Bellville United Methodist Church, Bellville Lion¹s Club and the Texas Pharmacy Association. Walter L. Koehn died Tuesday, June 6, 2006 in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his wife Joyce Koehn of Bellville; daughter, Candace Wilke and husband Brandt of Bellville; sons, Mark Koehn and wife Christina of Katy and Mike Koehn and wife Kim of Bellville; grandchildren Carly Koehn, Hohlt Koehn, Anna Claire Wilke, Grace Wilke, Stephen Koehn and Allison Koehn; other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents Walter H. and Lucille Koehn. Memorial contributions may be made to Bellville General Hospital P.O.
