Funeral services for Edward A. Kutach, 91, of Houston, formerly of East Bernard, were conducted February 28, 2006 from Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard with Fr. Don Ruppert celebrating the Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal. Interment was at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers serving were David Keitman, Michael Heitman, Christopher Heitman, Keith Kutach, Kevin Kutach and Kyle Kutach. Born in Hallettsville, Kutach was the son of August and Theresa (Drexler) Kutach. He was raised in Hallettsville and attended Hallettsville Public Schools. He was a lifelong agriculture farmer. Edward A. Kutach married the former Miss Matilda Pekar on November 23, 1937 with ceremony held in Sweet Home, texas. He was a member of the Knights of Coumbus in East Bernard and Holy Cross Catholic Church. Edward A. Kutach died Saturday, February 25, 2006 in Houston. He is survived by his daughter: Jeanette Heitman and husband Carlos of Houston; son: Robert Kutach and wife Gayle of Houston; sister: Gussie Meith and husband Allen of Rosenberg; brother: August Kutach Jr. of east Bernard; sister-in-law: Marie Kutach of San Antonio; grandchildren: David Heitman, Michael Heitman, Christopher Heitman, Keith Kutach and wife Karen, Kevin Kutach and wife trisha and Kyle Kutach; great grand-children: Dylan and tylor Kutach; step-great-grandchildren: Christopher and Megan Fasio and special family friend, Bonnie Terral of Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents: August and Theresa Kutach; wife: Matilda Kutach; brothers: Pete Kutach and wife Lillie; Ben Kutach, Felix Kutach and wife Martha; Rudy Kutach; sister: Tonie Jetelina and husband John; and sister-in-law, Isabel Kutach.
