Bellville Times

Thomas James Nicholson Jr., age 79, of Bellville, passed away on Thursday,
Nov. 23, 2006 in Houston.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Nicholson.
Tom was born July 18, 1927 in Pontiac, Mich. During World War II, he
attended Princeton University while serving in the United States Navy as
midshipman until 1948.
A devoted husband of 48 years, Tom and Pat were married in 1945, and resided
in Bellaire, Texas until Patıs death in 2002.
In 2004, Tom retired from Houston Optical Center after 52 years in the
optical industry, where he was well-known and loved by his colleagues and
clients.
Until his death, Tom resided in Bellville enjoying retirement and country
life.
He is survived by his children, Thomas James Nicholson III, Michael Kenneth
Nicholson, Catherine Ann Nicholson, Elizabeth Carolyn Murphy and husband
Scott, Connie Lynn Hudgins and husband Clay, and Sandra Marie Ladewig and
husband Brian; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Neil
Robert Cornwall and wife JoAnn.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006 at Earthman
Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006 at Earthman
Bellaire Chapel.
