BRUCE DWAIN ZANDER

Funeral services for Bruce Dwain Zander, 53, of Round Rock, Texas, were held
Saturday, June 17, 2006 at 2 p.m. from St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville
with the Rev. David Henske officiating.
Interment was in Oak Knoll Cemetery in Bellville. Serving as pallbearers
were Fred Deutrich, Wayne Peschel, William Peschel, Allen Wienecke, Wayne
Zander and Phillip Zander. Honorary pallbearers were Julian Davis and
Derrick Zander.
Born in Bellville, Bruce was the son of Harry and Lenora (Peschel) Zander.
He was baptized on Aug. 9, 1953 at St. John Lutheran Church and was
confirmed Aug. 27, 1967. He attended church regularly and Sunday school when
he was a youth growing up.
He graduated from Bellville High School and the University of Southwest
Texas.
Bruce was a music teacher in Wallis and in Brownwood, Texas. When Bruce
moved to Round Rock he worked for a printing firm at The State Bar
Association of Texas in Austin. He was employed by the Whitley Printing
Company of Austin as an estimator upon his death.
Bruce was a "people person," he had many friends, including his boss and
supervisors. During his illness, people were always calling to check on him.
That meant so much to him.
Bruce had a love for nature that showed by the way he took care of his yard
and his flowers.
Bruce Dwain Zander passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 14, 2006,
surrounded by his loving family, at his home in Round Rock. He succumbed to
cancer after a short but valiant and courageous fight and has now gone to be
with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his parents Harry and Lenora Zander of Bellville; sons
Chad Michael Zander and wife Stephanie of Long Beach, Calif. and Ryan Brent
Zander and friend Allison Brinkley of Littleton, Colo.; brother Gary Zander
of Bellville and sister, Jolle Ann Ray and companion Julian Davis of
Baltimore, Md.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and his pet
cat Rocky,  which he enjoyed very much.

Suite 100, Austin, Texas 78759.
Funeral services were under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapels
in Bellville.
