Babin
Funeral Mass for Herman F. Babin, 83, of Bellville, was held Monday, Aug.
27, 2007 at 10 a.m. from Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Bellville
with Fr. Tim Bucek officiating.
Graveside services were conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2007 at
Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves, Texas. A Rosary was recited at 6 p.m.,
Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007 from the Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel, Bellville.
Pallbearers were; Matt Kent, Justin Babin, Stephen Babin, Allayne Babin, Jon
Kram.
Born in Whitecastle, La., Herman was the son of Myron J. Babin and Adele
(Barrilleaux) Babin. He was raised and attended school in Port Arthur.
Herman was joined in marriage to Shirley Bajon on April 16,1950.
He retired from the Texas Department of Transportation and served in the
U.S. Army during WWII.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Port Arthur. and Sts. Peter and
Paul Catholic Church Young at Heart Club.
Herman is survived by wife, Shirley Babin of Bellville, daughter, Debbie
Kent and husband, Robert of Sealy, sons, Danny Babin and wife Margaret of
Cypress, David Babin and wife Valerie of Bellville, sister-in-law Mary
(Babin) Maurer of Houston, grandchildren, Robert, Jr., Angie and husband,
Jon, Matt, Justin, Jennifer, KayLeigh, Stephen, Allayne and great
grandchildren, Brooke and Blair.
Preceded in death by his parents Myron J. and Adele Babin; brothers, M. J.
Babin, Curtis Babin and Ralph Babin.
