Funeral services for Leonard H. Coursey, Sr., 76, of Brookshire, Texas were
held Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at 2:00 PM from Knesek Bros. Funeral
Chapel with Brad Morgan officiating. Pallbearers were Leonard's grandsons;
Jason, Jimmy, Darrell, Derrick, John, and Duke. Honorary Pallbearers were
his grandsons Carlton, Ricky, Daniel, and Chris.
Born in Truman, Arkansas, Leonard was the son of Rufford and Nellie (Larson)
Coursey. Leonard was a carpenter by trade.
Leonard married Irmgard Emtmann.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Irmgard Coursey of Brookshire, daughters:
Cathy Gibson and husband, Ray, of Houston, Karen Owens and husband, Jeff, of
Houston, Kristie Martin and fiance, Don, of Brookshire. Sons: Harlon Coursey
and wife, Neva, of Brookshire, Richard Coursey and wife, Molly, of Houston,
Leonard Coursey, Jr. and wife ,Amy, of Brookshire. Sisters: Aubrey Waters,
Eva Mae Gibson, Linda Gibson, Dean Couch, all of Arkansas, Helen Wilson of
Cypress, Thelma Sanders of Waller. Brothers: Robert Coursey of Katy, Donald
Coursey of Katy, and Bobby Coursey of Waller. Grandchildren: Nancy, Jimmy,
Ricky, Daniel, Carlton, Derrick, Ashley, Darrell, Jason, John, Chris,
Nicole, Christina, and Jordian. Great-grandchildren: Cole, Colby, Colton,
Makenzie, Madison, Evan and John Allen.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Tammy, son Ricky, and
sister Ellen.

st, Bellville, TX (979) 865-3121.
