JODIE HENRY FRIEDA

Funeral Services for Jodie Henry Frieda, 87, of Bellville, were held
Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 2 p.m. from Nelsonville Brethren Church in
Nelsonville with the Rev. Michael Groseclose officiating.  Interment was at
Susen Cemetery in Nelsonville. Pallbearers serving were Troy Rowen, Scott
Hein, John White, Steve Van Wagner Joe McCoin and Jeff Rao.
Jodie was born in Cisco, Texas on March 18, 1920, son of Joe and Mathilde
(Mahlman) Frieda.  He resided in Caldwell where he completed the 8th grade
in 1935.  He became a delivery truck driver for Pearl Beer.
In March 1942 he was inducted into the United States Army where he served in
the Aleutians Islands until October 1945. He received an honorable discharge
as the rank of Corporal.
After his discharge, he became employed with Brazwell Motor Freight in
Houston as a truck driver where he met Mattie Marie Mikeska of Bellville.
They were united in marriage on Nov. 11, 1951. They resided in Houston until
1969 when they retired and moved to Bellville, in the Oakhill Community
where they lived out their remaining years.
Jodie enjoyed fishing, hunting and barbecuing for the family. He also loved
to dance, play cards and dominoes. He enjoyed spending time with his
grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jodie was a member of SPJST, VFW (Bellville) and a member of Nelsonville
Brethren Church.
Jodie H. Frieda died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in Bellville.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn White and husband Eddie of
Bellville, his son, Clifton Hein and wife Lorraine of Bellville,
grandchildren, Kimberly Van Wagner and Troy Rowen, Scott Hein and Dana Hein,
great grandchildren, Haley Van Wagner and Tyler Van Wagner, ShaiLynd Hein,
Meranda Schoggin, step grandchildren, John White and Kimberly McCoin and
step great grandson, Chance White.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Frank and Matilda Frieda, wife,
Mattie Mikeska Frieda, brother, Henry Joe Frieda and sister, Lillie Thueber.

Buffalo Speedway, Houston, Texas 77054.
Funeral Arrangements under the direction on Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in
Bellville.
