HILDA STECK LANDRUM
Bellville Times
 
Hilda Steck Landrum passed away Sunday, February 11, 2007 in Bellville, at
the age of 95.
She was born September 30, 1911, the daughter of August and Bettie Brandes
Steck. She grew up in Burleigh and graduated from Bellville High School. She
was a member of the Bellville United Methodist Church. A homemaker, she
loved her family, gardening, reading, and all domestic and wild birds and
animals.
On January 13, 1945, she married Charles "Charlie" Leon Landrum in Aransas
County, Texas. Together they had one daughter, Sandra Landrum Gilbert. The
marriage to Charlie also blessed Hilda with three loving step children,
Helen Landrum Waak, Robert W. "Bobby" Landrum and Charles A. Landrum.
She is survived by DAUGHTER: Sandra Gilbert of Bellville and Helen Waak and
husband, Conway, of Bellville, SON: Charles and wife, Betty, of Wichita,
Kansas; SISTERS: Idell Siegert of Houston and Lola Cullum of Katy; 11
grandchildren 26 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren and
many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by
her parents, her husband, son Bobby Landrum, son-in-law Earl Gilbert,
granddaughter Billie Waak Schrader and sisters Leila Steck and Magdalene
Steck.
Funeral Services were held at 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the
Bellville United Methodist Church with Pastors Robert Stutes and Carmen
Rickal, Officiating.
Interment was at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery
Pallbearers were Glenn Siegert, Kenneth Siegert, Kyle Waak Sr., Conway
"Fuzzy" Waak, Jr., Dennis Walden, and Darrell Schrader
Honorary Pallbearers were: Nephews, Grandsons, and Great grandsons
