Strokos
Funeral services for Beatrice Zettel Strokos, 83, of Sealy were held
Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007 from the First United Methodist Church  in Sealy
with the Rev. John Tyler officiating.
Burial was at Sealy Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Gary Eckelberg,
Tommie Eckelberg, Billy Sisa, Bobby Rochen Brandon Michalke and Nathan
Michalke.
Beatrice died Oct. 28, 2007 in Katy.
She was born to parents Joseph and Albina Janosky Sisa,  raised in
Nelsonville and attended school at Nelsonville Public School. Her first
marriage was to Johnnie Zettel in July 1941 who died on Jan. 8, 1969 and her
second marriage to Albert Strokos in January 1980 who died June 21, 1994.
Beatrice worked as a sales clerk, waitress and retired from Billšs Grocery
to help raise her grandchildren. She loved gardening, raising flowers,
helping her granddaughters with fair projects and going to the Louisiana
Casinos. She was a member of the Sealy American Legion Auxiliary helping
with Bingo, of the First United Methodist Church in Sealy, a volunteer at
the Sealy Food Pantry and the Good Samaritan Shop.
Survivors include, daughter, Kathy Michalke of Sealy, granddaughters, Meagan
and Melissa Michalke of Sealy, sisters, Gracie Eckelberg of Sealy, Winona
Rochen of Waller and Ruth Chovanec of LaGrange. She was preceded in death by
parents, Joseph and Albina Sisa, husbands, Johnnie Zettel and Albert
Strokos, sisters, Vlasta Pohl and Gardenia Sisa, brothers, Joe, Franklin,
Isadore and Ladgie Sisa.
Memorial gifts may be made to Church or Charity of Choice.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel
in Sealy.
