HENRIETTA MARY ROHAN BOGAR

Funeral Mass for Henrietta Mary (Rohan) Bogar, 86, of Bellville, were held Monday, July 21, 2008, at 10 a.m. from Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tim Bucek, officiating.
Interment was in Oak Knoll Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Christopher Jolly, Benjamin Jolly, Brett Jolly, Eric Zaskoda, Brian Stewart, and John Pappas.
Henrietta Rohan was born Sept. 24, 1921, in Wallis, to August and Albina Rohan.
A Catholic by faith, Henrietta was united in marriage to William T. Bogar on April 22, 1946. Henrietta and Bill made there home in Bellville and were blessed with three children.
Henrietta was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Council of Catholic Women of Bellville and the KJZT Society of Wallis. Her love for her faith was shown by caring for Msgr. Sylvester Fuchs’s vestments and altar clothes.  She also loved being outside in her garden taking care of her numerous flowers, especially her Azaleas. She liked canning, making kolaches and cookies, sewing, crocheting, and taking care of her grandkids.  During World War II, she worked in Galveston caring for 2 small boys whose father was a fighter pilot in China-Burma-India.
Henrietta passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008, at the age of 86 in Bellville.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, William T. Bogar of Bellville; daughter Jacquelyn Stewart and husband, Michael of Bellville; son Francis (Skip) Bogar and wife, Mary of Pflugerville; daughter, Marilyn Zaskoda and husband, William of Bellville. She is also survived by her numerous grandchildren; Christopher and Debbie Jolly, Elizabeth and Jeremy Hall, Meredith and John Pappas, Eric and Suzanne Zaskoda. Her step-grandchildren; Brian Stewart, Tara Ward and Christine Innes. Her great-grandchildren; Brett, Benjamin, and Abigail Jolly, Shad and Marissa Hall, Miles Pappas, Dustin Innes and Ava Stewart.
In lieu of usual remembrances, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the scholarship funds for Bellville Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, Council of Catholic Women, Bellville General Hospital or charity of your choice.
