**THOMAS 'TURTLE' DROZD**
Bellville Times Drozd Thomas “Turtle” Drozd, 1950-2008, Bellville. Thomas “Turtle” Drozd, died Friday, October 10, at Bluebonnet Hills Care in Breham after a brief illness. Born in Pittsfield, Mass. on April 4, 1950, son of Peter and Grace Drozd, he graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1968 and attended Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield. An expert antique furniture restorer, he was employed by Fontaine’s Auctions in Pittsfield before be moved to Bellville 24 years ago. He operated Legacy Woodworks and specialized in assembling, repairing and refinishing antique bars and was the Construction Supervisor for the renovation of the Ant Street Inn in Brenham. He leaves his mother, Grace Drozd, and a brother, Peter, both of Dalton , Mass., and two nephews, Sean and Eric Drozd of Pittsfield, Mass. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert, in 1984 and his father, Peter, in 1991. Cremation is being handled by Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City, and a private burial and memorial service will be held in Pittsfield, Mass. at a later date. Posted by Joy Neely

Thomas “Turtle” Drozd, 1950-2008, Bellville.

Thomas “Turtle” Drozd, died Friday, October 10, at Bluebonnet Hills Care in Breham after a brief illness.

Born in Pittsfield, Mass. on April 4, 1950, son of Peter and Grace Drozd, he graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1968 and attended Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield.
