Frances Marie Pacher Goebel, born Oct. 24, 1912 in Millheim, the daughter of George and Auguste Schubert Pacher. She grew up and attended school in the Millheim area. Frances was united in marriage to Leslie Goebel on Dec. 16, 1945, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy. She was member of the St. John Lutheran Church of Bellville and the Woodmen of the World. Frances loved taking care of her grandchildren and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, baking, gardening and canning. Frances passed away peacefully Feb. 2. 2008, at the age of 95 in Bellville. She is survived by her son Lee Charles Goebel and his wife Pam of Cat Spring; daughters Vickie Monk and her husband Frank of Bellville and Vonnie Grawunder and her husband Tom of Bellville; grandchildren Patrick Goebel of Wyoming, Blair Goebel and his wife Tammy, and Jordan Goebel all of Cat Spring, Kyndal Monk, Nathan Grawunder and his wife Angie, Seth Grawunder and his wife Suzanne, and Colby Grawunder all of Bellville. Also surviving Frances are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Auguste Pacher, husband, Leslie Goebel in 1997, brothers Karl, Gus, George, Herman and Adolph Pacher and sister Anna Victoria Pacher. Pallbearers are her 7 grandchildren. Funeral service was 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008 at Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Bellville with Pastors Jennie Jones and David Henske officiating. Interment was in Millheim Cemetery. In lieu of usual remembrances, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the St. John Lutheran Church, 520 N.
