Funeral service will be held on Friday at Riverside United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Warren Austin officiating. George will be laid to rest at Riverside Pioneer Cemetery. George was born on January 5, 1936 in High Pointa, N.C. and passed away peacefully at the age of 72 in Lufkin, Texas on Jan. 14, 2008. George was the director of Photography for the Houston Chronicle for 34 years from 1962 to 1996. He is preceded in death by parents, Leonard Franklin and Pearle Reynolds Honeycutt and a grandson, Stephen Mitchell Honeycutt. He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Sandra Spencer Honeycutt, children George Keith Honeycutt and wife, Siony, Stephen Kurt Honeycutt and wife, Wendy, and Kevin Honeycutt, grandchildren Danielle Guillory, Allison Thompson, George David Honeycutt, Spencer Kurt Honeycutt, and Justin Krause, great-grandchildren Jared, Faith, and Madison Guillory, sister-in-law Barbara Spencer Mannor, and Georgešs loyal companion, Jake.
