Ladig

 

Anita Esther (Kuehn) Ladig was born Sept. 20, 1921, in Cat Spring, the daughter of Herman and Minna (Streicher) Ladig. She grew up and attended grade school in Cat Spring, graduating from Sam Houston High School in Houston.

Anita was united in marriage to Wesley Ladig on Nov. 15, 1942, in Houston. Anita and Wesley made their home in Houston moving to Spring in 1972. She enjoyed craft work, shopping and needlepoint. Anita especially enjoyed helping other people.

Anita passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, in The Woodlands.

She is survived by her brother-in-law Allen Ladig of Bellville; nieces Diana Ladig of Bellville and Linda Bates and her husband, Bob, of Victory; nephews Allen W. Ladig of Bellville, Wesley K. Ladig and Rusty Kuehn, both of Houston and Jerry Ladig and his wife, Diana, of Waller. Also surviving Anita are special friends Virginia Payne of Bryan and Rosie Tomlinson of Houston and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley, in 2001, her mother, Minna, and grandfather, August Streicher.

Visitation was 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008 from Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Bellville.

Funeral service was noon on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008 from Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dale Leland officiating.

Pallbearers were Allen W. Ladig, Wesley K. ladig, Rusty Kuehn and Robert Cirilo.

In lieu of usual remembrances, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the St. john Lutheran Cemetery, 480 Ross Street, Cat Spring, Texas 78933.

Schmidt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
