Macha
Funeral services for August J. Macha, 86, of Needville were held on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, 1 p.m.
at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Beasley with the Rev. Henry C. Rachunek celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal.
Interment was at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Allen Macha,
Sonny Pfeffer, Coie Williams, Gary Macha, Randy Gauny and Cody Davis. Honorary Pallbearers were
Jeffrey and Michael Hajovsky.
August Joseph Macha was born to parents Anton and Aloisie Schodek Macha in Wallis. He was raised in
Wallis and attended Krasna and Guardian Angel Catholic Schools.
Mr. August J. Macha and Miss Willie Mae Hajovsky were united in marriage at St. Wenceslaus Catholic
Church in Beasley on Oct. 30, 1946.
He served his country in the US Army and was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Needville
Post #350.
He worked as a painter in commercial home building and was also a farmer.
Mr. Macha passed away Dec. 18, 2008 in Richmond.
Survivors include his daughter Linda Macha Paukert and husband Larry of Crowley, son, Lawrence R.
Macha and wife Barbara of Fairchilds, brothers, Frank Macha of Needville and Johnny Macha and wife Ella of Rosenberg, sister-in-law, Dolores Macha of Needville,
grandchildren, Allen Macha and wife Marci, Tammy Pfeffer and husband Sonny, Tracie Williams and husband Coie, Tanya McKay and husband Robert, great grandchildren,
Scott and Ryan Pfeffer and Lacie and
Cash Williams. He was preceded in death by parents, Anton and Aloisie Macha, wife, Willie Mae Macha,
grandson, Raymond Macha, brothers, Freddy, Linhart and Adolph Macha. Posted by Joy Neely
