Bellville Times Nelson Memorial services for Bessie Lucille Nelson, 81, of Bellville were held Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the First Baptist Church of Bellville, with the Rev. Harvey Abke, officiating. Lucille was born Sept. 27, 1927 in Bellville to Cloyd Garrett and Blanche (Sherrod) Garrett. She attended schools in Bellville. Lucille passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 in Richmond. She is survived by her daughter, Nelda Simpson of Wichita Falls, grandchildren, Belinda Preunes, Charlotte Winters, Cissy Harris, Donovan Payten, Robin Payten, Kelly Payten and Albert Payten; 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; brother, Allen Garrett, along with many close friends and relatives.
