Riniker
Guss W. Riniker, 86 of Bellville passed away on April 18, 2008 in Tomball. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM from St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Jennie Jones and David Henske, officiating.  Interment was in Oak Knoll Cemetery. Pallbearers were Justin Tomachefsky, Malcolm Lochiel, Lance Johnson, Andy Curtis, Chris Curtis and James Curtis.  Honorary pallbearers were Daniel Curtis, Jared Tomachefsky, Hunter Tomachefsky, Darren Lizotte and Paul Price.
Guss was born the son of Gus and Ella (Warmke) Riniker, in Bellville.  He was raised in Bellville and graduated from Bellville High School, Class of 1941.  Guss married Ora Dell Koerth on December 26, 1943, at St. John Lutheran Church.  He worked as a Lineman for San Bernard Electric, retiring at 40 years of service.  Guss was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville. He was one of the founding members of the Bellville Booster Club, a member of the Bellville Volunteer Fire Department, Sons of Hermann and Woodman of the World.  He loved going to the deer lease with his grandsons, working in his garden, crabbing in Matagorda and fixing up his house on the river. He liked when people would visit him and his dogs, Bear and Freddie, at the farm.  Guss was a big supporter of the Brahma Football Team.
Guss is survived by his wife, Ora Dell Riniker, daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Tomachefsky, Betty and Larry Johnson, Karen and David Curtis, Robin and Robert Burger, sister, Beverly Remmert, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Grace and Al Tinker, grandchildren, Lance and Tamera Johnson, Shannon Johnson, Amy and Malcolm Lochiel, Justin and Stephanie Tomachefsky, Andy Curtis, Chris Curtis, James and Jolene Curtis, Tara Burger and Tori Burger.  Eleven Great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Ella (Warmke) Riniker, daughter, Donna Riniker and son-in-law, William Tomachefsky.
