**BETTY JEAN GLAESER SEIDEL**
Bellville Times Betty Jean Seidel was born Dec. 24, 1938, in New Ulm, the daughter of Ralph Otto and Isabella Hilma (Rinn) Glaeser. She grew up and attended school in the West End area, graduating from Columbus High School. She lived in Bellville from 1973 until 1983 then moved back to New Ulm. She was a lifelong resident of Austin County. Betty was baptized May 30, 1939, in the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Welcome. A Lutheran by faith, Betty was united in marriage to August George “A.G.” Seidel on Nov. 19, 1977, in Round Top. Betty and A.G. raised their family in the New Ulm area were Betty was employed as a receptionist at the Bellville Clinic for 12 years. Betty passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008 at the age of 69 in Bellville. She is survived by her husband A.G. Seidel of New Ulm; sons Terry Zenkner of New Ulm, Jason Seidel and his fiancée, Heather Ferry, of New Ulm and Garrett Seidel and his wife, Vicki, of Jarrell; daughter Rachel Schubert and her husband, Scottie, of Industry. Also surviving her are her grandchildren Ashleigh Zenkner, Kinch Schubert and Kyndall Seidel; sister-in-law Joyce Muske and her husband, Dan, and numerous other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers are Bobby Rinn, Scottie Schubert, Wain Utter, Robert Abel, Merrill Schramm, Randy Schramm, Garrett Seidel and Heath Wendt. Visitation was 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, Schmidt Funeral Home, Bellville. Funeral Service was 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008 at Schmidt Funeral Home Chapelwith Pastor Milroy Gregor, officiating. Interment was in New Ulm Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the: Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewoo, Danvers, MA 01923, or to the St. John Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 1270, New Ulm, Texas 78950.
